The practice of medicine is demanding. Physicians and members of allied professions work in complex networks that compel expert leadership. This makes the management of health care more challenging than ever
Effective, efficient health care relies upon leadership that facilitates the highest professional achievement, responds to economic necessities, meets the needs of all employees, maintains high ethical and legal standards, and responds to the varied needs of an increasingly diverse patient population.
How can leadership in health care meet these demands? This program in health care leadership promotes success by integrating medicine and management, and focusing on personal and joint knowledge sharing in leadership that goes beyond mere mastery of management tools.
