Among extrinsic factors that might affect COVID-19 transmission dynamics, the potential influence of weather conditions and seasonality remain unclear. Respiratory viral infections often show seasonality, with influenza and other coronaviruses peaking in winter, yet the underlying mechanisms are poorly understood.
