During her PhD studies in Clinical Epidemiology at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Dr. Marija Glisic, a medical doctor with Master degree in Health Sciences worked on cardiometabolic health, with particular interests on the role of nutrition, sex hormones, epigenetics, omics data and sex differences in improving prevention and precise care in cardiometabolic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Currently, she is employed at Swiss Paraplegic Research and Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine (ISPM) at the University of Bern, where she leads a project focused on cardiometabolic health in individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI).
