PhD Thesis : Droughts and health: assessing risks and vulnerability patterns
Supervisors : Coral Salvador, Ana Maria Vicedo Cabrera

I am an incoming PhD student working at the intersection of climate epidemiology and public health. As part of the IGIA-SETH (unravelInG the ImpActs of droughtS on human hEalTH) project, my research focuses on understanding the impacts of droughts on human health and identifying vulnerability patterns across different demographic, socioeconomic, and geographic contexts. Using methods in climate and environmental epidemiology, I aim to quantify health risks associated with droughts, explore interactions with other environmental hazards, and assess how these risks may evolve under future climate scenarios. This work seeks to inform public health adaptation strategies and contribute to reducing the health burden of climate change.
