The BEAT-PCD Clinical Research Collaboration (CRC) is a network of multidisciplinary researchers, clinicians, other healthcare professionals, and patient partners supported since 2020 by the European Respiratory Society. The network coordinates research from basic science to clinical care, with the ultimate vision that children with PCD born anywhere will receive an early accurate diagnosis and evidence-based therapies which will prevent development of bronchiectasis and reduce morbidity and mortality.

M. Goutaki co-chairs the network, and C. Kuehni is a member of the management committee. N. Karavasiloglou, A. Fernandez-Rodriguez, and V. Gkatzou are members of the work package which focuses on activities for early career members and dissemination of activities and results.

Within the BEAT-PCD framework, we develop numerous collaborative research projects, organise academic and knowledge-transfer events for all stakeholders, including online expert talks, annual research conferences, and an annual online international conference for people with PCD and their families, co-organised with PCD support groups worldwide.
