The «Research on Research» group focuses on evaluating and implementing methods to improve research quality, communication with various stakeholders, and public engagement.
We aim to develop, adapt, apply, and disseminate methods to enhance the interpretability and usefulness of research findings in everyday clinical practice. For example, we use existing statistical methods, such as Bayesian approaches, to interpret clinical trials results and support the decision-making process. In another project, we explore how the choice of the primary outcome in randomized clinical trials has evolved across medical fields over time and investigate possible implications of these trends.
Another key area of our work involves strengthening the research ecosystem, by promoting the integration of sex and gender in the early phases of the research process. Our ultimate goal is to generate more accurate and useful scientific knowledge for the benefit of public health.
Our group was recently officially established at the ISPM. We will continue the research initiatives previously launched by the group leader, building on the additional, diverse expertise of our group members.
