Ronny Makhoul is a physician-scientist with a strong foundation in data science and software engineering. After transitioning from clinical practice to research, he pursued a Master's in Epidemiology, during which he also gained technical experience working as a Software Engineer for the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute.
Currently, he is pursuing a PhD at the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine (ISPM) in Bern. In this role, he develops prediction models for childhood asthma and co-manages the Swiss Paediatric Airway Cohort (SPAC).
In parallel, he serves as a Research Fellow in the Research on Research department at ISPM, where he programs custom algorithms and manages data for the Athena and GRACE projects.
