Aziz Mert Ipekci won the Prize for Best Poster

01.12.2023 – Aziz Mert Ipekci, won the Prize for Best Poster,  using the "better poster" design, at the 15th Symposium GHS held at Studienzentrum Gerzensee on 22nd and 23rd November 2023. Aziz Mert is a PhD student in the Sexual and Reproductive Health group.

Aziz Mert explored factors associated with participation in a household-based cohort study on pandemic preparedness. Willingness to participate is lower in older, less educated and lower-income responders in the canton of Bern. The study is part of the BEready (Bern, get ready!) project, supervised by Prof. Nicola Low and funded by the Multidisciplinary Center for Infectious Diseases.

The Graduate School of Health Sciences hosts a yearly symposium, giving PhD candidates a platform to showcase their research to fellow peers. Throughout their doctoral journey, students take part twice, presenting their work through both a poster and an oral presentation. Every year a prize for the best poster and one for the best talk are awarded.
